Welcome to the Website of DLC Photography.

I started building this site in February 2001, as an outgrowth of my passion for Nature Photography. My goal is to share my favorite images and provide helpful technical information on nature and digital photography in general. In addition, Photography Workshops to a variety of exotic locations are now available. You can use the Navigation Bar above to quickly access the various areas of this site.

Costa Rica Photo Safari - April, 2009Costa Rica Photo Safari - April, 2009: Details are now available! This trip will take place April 17-27, 2009, and will emphasize the southern part of Costa Rica, including several locations not visited on prior trips. In addition, we'll be going after the Resplendant Quetzal, which we successfully found and photographed 2 years ago. Details available here. Email me with interest and questions.

Photo Workshops for 2009 with International Expeditions: These trips have now been finalized, and will include Panama (May 23 - 31, 2009) and the Amazon River (Oct. 23 - Nov. 1, 2009). Please click here for details. Email me if you are interested in either of these trips.

Brazil's Pantanal Photo Expedition: Nov. 1 - 10, 2008: This trip was recently completed, and was a tremendous success. We encountered a wide variety of bird and mammal species in the Pantanal, and were overwhelmed by the size and power of the Iguazu Waterfalls.  A report and images will be posted within the next month or so. 

New Images: Ultimate Costa Rica Photo Safari: This June, 2008 trip was recently completed, and was just spectacular.  Images and report on this trip are contained in 3 small galleries: Birds1, Birds2, Other.
